Interview questions from a previous 2nd grade class:
I have had students fill out that questionnaire for years now. This year however, I got some of the best & most insightful questions yet.
1. Do you like teaching? (Josh, Taryn, & Siri) YES! I love teaching children more than I can ever express. I feel it is my true calling, and I feel so blessed to be apart of such a unique school!
2. Favorite book & bug? (James) Books: I finished Untamed this summer. It was easily one of the most amazing & inspiring books about a truly wild woman who always went against the grain & managed to conquer many realms of science for nature's sake. I also loved reading The All Souls Trilogy By Deborah Harkness who is a history professor at USC. I waited years for her to finish this series. It is by far the best series I have ever come across that has fused so many mystical elements into a fascinating read. (More about this series)
Bug: Bee (Although it really is an insect....)
3. What is your favorite sport? (Alex, Nolan,) Soccer & tennis (Sometimes it is too hard to just pick one!)
4. Do you have a dog? Have you been to Alaska? (Paxton) I do not have any pets because I travel too much to be able to consistently care for one, but I love to be around pets, animals & nature as much as possible. I went to Alaska 5 years ago for the Iditarod teacher conference.
5. Do you like to sing? (Whitley) Although I am a bit tone deaf, I LOVE to sing & dance.
6. What is your favorite song? (Margaret & Paisley) I do not think I could just pick one song. For the last 12 years, I have been really obsessed with this Columbian band Bomba Estereo
7. What is your favorite place? (Margaret) This is a challenging question! So far, I think I love South Africa the most out of any place I have ever been.
8. Are you a lefty or righty? Righty
What is your favorite book?
9. What is your favorite color? Red
10. Many of you were also curious if I liked animals or had pets.
-Yes!!! I love all animals (except rats & roaches) They totally freak me out! I have no pets yet because I am still on the road too much in the summer time, unless some family may want to summer sit....
11. What is your favorite food?
- I love QUESO, DR. PEPPER, pizza, pasta, veggies, fruit, ice cream & DARK CHOCOLATE. I love almost all food! I eat everything except artichokes, olives & Mayo.
When is your birthday?
November 14 (I actually have a funny story about my birthday. I share it with my little brother. He is 4 years younger than me, which means he STOLE my birthday.) Now that we are older, it is fun to celebrate together. But when I was younger not so cool...
